Overview:In the classic Everest Base Camp trek, we will be following the footsteps of 1st summiteers Tenzing Norgay Sherpa & Sir Edmund Hilary & also other great mountaineers like Reinhold Messner, George Mallory. This trek begins from Jiri (8hrs drive from Kathmandu) which is the week long trail to the base camp of world’s highest mountain Everest. This trek provides a better opportunity to acclimatize. We will be entering & exploring the Sagarmatha National park, a UNESCO world heritage site. This trek is one of the oldest & interesting routes where trekkers walk through Classic Middle Hills country that is blissfully free from the crowds that mob the trails further. The trek begains from 1905/6250ft, & ascend to 3530m at the Lamjura Bhanjyang & drops as low as 1500m at the Dudh Koshi crossing east of Nunthala till Lukla.

Day 01: |
Kathmandu Arrival and Trip Preparation (1,300m/4,264ft)
After arriving in TIA; our hospitable representative from Caravana Himalaya will welcome you with garlands and drive you to hotel.

Day 02: |
Kathmandu Full Day Sight Seeing
After the Breakfast, We proceed for Exploring the ancient palaces of Kathmandu valley which are included in World Heritage Sites. Places to Visit: · Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple): The Historical buildings and temples in the area were erected from the time of King Ratna Malla (1484-1520 AD) to Prithvi Bir Bikram Shah (1875-1911 AD) covering the Malla, Shah and Rana period of Nepalese history. The entire palace complex here is named after a monkey god called Hanuman. One can see a huge stone statue of Hanuman painted all red next to the main entrance (the golden gate) of the palace. Hanuman here is regarded as a powerful protector of the entire Durbar Square. Later, in the Evening Free on your own. |
Day 03: |
Kathmandu to Jiri (1905m/6250ft) 8-9hrs
After Breakfast, we start our long journey towards the gateway of Everest. The jiri drive is 8 hrs; during the drive one can enjoy the scenic beauty of the Hills & Himalayas. Arrive Jiri. Jiri is regarded as the best Natural place one can enjoy the hills and Himalayas and also the beautiful waterfalls. Evening free & Leisure. |
Day 04: |
Trek to shivalaya (2180m/7150ft) 4-5hrs
Today we will walk around 4 hours as a warm up day to reach our destination. It is easy trek hike till shivalaya; a lovely little village with very helpful people and small local lodges. On the way, we’ll pass a number of houses with wide porches & a striking orange and white color scheme beautiful typical Nepali house O/N at local lodge [B, L, D] |
Day 05: |
Trek From Shivalay to Bandar (2200m/7216ft) 5-6hrs
Second day of trek starts with exhausting 2hrs climb to Khasrubas (2330m) and another steep 2hrs climb to reach Deurali (2705m). From here onwards we can see buddhist Sherpa culture with small stupas, mani walls and colorful praying flags etc. Another 1hrs descend we reach Bandar. O/N at local lodge [B, L, D] |
Day 06: |
Trek from Bandar to Sete (2580m/8462ft) 6-7hrs
Two paths leads on but the newly build one will save an hour off the trek to kinja (1630 m). Leaving kinja the trail ascent and reach chimbu (2170m) in around 2hours which have several lodges and large school. Another 1.30 hrs of walk which wills leads up by mani walls, we will reach friendly village of Sete our overnight destination. O/N at local lodge [B, L, D]

Day 07: |
Trek from Sete to Junbesi (2680m/8790ft) 6-7hrs
After breakfast we will leave Sete and continue our walk which will ascent till Lamjura Bhanjyang Pass (3530m) via Goyom (3060m). We pass by lush forest of rhododendrons, magnolia, maple and birch trees. Upon reaching top we can see beautiful view with snow capped Himalayas. This pass is the highest point on the route between Jiri to Namche Bazar. Another 2 hours descent we will reach junbesi beautiful village where we can see 16th century Tashi Thongma Gompa. Day 08: | Trek from Junbesi to Nunthala (2220m/7992ft) 5-6hrs We cross junbesi khola then ascent and climb ridge top of Phurtang village (2900M), from where we see first glimpse of Everest. Now we descend and the trail turns north to reach salung (2860M). Likewise we head forward and pass by several villages and tea house like Ringmo (2720m), trakshindu La (3071m) where we can get locally produced dried fruit, pickles, jams, apple brandy and also yak cheese. Then trail finally descends and reach nunthula a lovely single street lined villages.O/N at local lodge [B, L, D] |
Day 09: |
Trek from Nunthala to Bupsa (2360m/7282ft) 6hrs
We start our day descending to Dudkhosi (milk river) through forest and farmland and also 109m long suspension bridge. Climb chyokha and rises to a saddle on the edge of khosi khola 92010m). To reach our final destination we make a steep climb to Bupsa (2360m), set among cascading wheat and maize terraces below a dense oak forest. O/N at local lodge [B, L, D]

Day 10: |
Trek from Bupsa to Lukla (2860m/9380ft) 7-8hrs
Above bupsa the trail leaves the wheat fields and climbs steadily through dense forests and reach Khari La (2840m) in around 1.5 hours walk. We descend till we reach puiyan khola crossing metal bridge and after short steep climb through the forest will take us into puiyan (2770m) a beautiful village. To reach Lukla, we climb on stone staircase for about hours and reach our destination. O/N at local lodge [B, L, D]

Day 11: |
Trek to Namche Bazaar 5-6 hrs (3,440m/11,284 ft)
After breakfast we start our trek to NamcheBazar, which is one of the biggest bazar or market in this area. We trek through beautiful pine forest, follow the path crossing rivers like Dudhkoshi, Bhotekoshi, many suspension bridge (most important- Hilary Bridge- The first view of Everest from the bridge, if we start our trek from Lukla) and enjoying the wildlife of forest such as ghoral, musk deer, Himalayan Thar, Blue sheep etc. Lunch will be served on the way. Dinner & Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Day 12: |
Acclimatization Day – Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,284ft)
Today, we have lots of things to do and explore around Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is the main center and the Biggest Bazaar in the Everest region. Here we have all the facilities like ATMs, Money exchange, Internet Cafes, shops, restaurants, bars, live music and variety of markets. If Interested one can hike to another beautiful Sherpa village Khumjung Village (3780m/12401 ft) and also visit world’s highest 5* Hotel ‘Hotel Everest View’. From here we can have clear view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Ama Dablam and many other peaks and mountains.

Day 13: |
Namche Bazaar to Tengboche 5-6 hrs (3,870m/12,694ft)
After Breakfast, today we trek to Tengboche, ‘Tengboche’ means the feet of the Lord. Tengboche Monastery is the Largest Monastery in Khumbu Region. We descend the first half up to the Dudh Koshi River and then start climbing upward to have our lunch and to Tengboche. On the trail we encounter beautiful river, flora & Fauna and also enjoy stunning mountains like Everest, Ama Dablam and so on. Overnight at Tengboche.

Day 14: |
Tengboche to Dingboche 5-6 hrs (4,360m/14,300ft)
After Breakfast, we trek through lust rhododendron Forest descending & ascending, we also enjoy the Mountain View and picturesque Mt. Ama Dablam. We pass by Pangboche and upper Pangboche. And we climb for dingboche on the way we have our lunch at Horso or else at upper pangboche. Walking up to the dingboche we witness beautiful fields, enclosed by stone walls to protect barley, potato, buckwheat from the grazing animals and speedy wind. Overnight at Dingboche.

Day 15: |
Acclimatization Day – Dingboche (4,360m/14,300ft)
Dingboche is a beautiful village from where trekkers move ahead to Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam; we stay the whole day for acclimatization. We take a day hike to Narjun from where we can see clear view of Mt. Makalu and also more.

Day 16: |
Dingboche to Lobuche 5-6 hrs (4940m/16,207ft)
After Breakfast, we ascend to Lobuche, where on the way we can see beautiful lake, glacier, mountains also array of stones with prayer flags used in the memorials of the Dead ones in Everest Region.on the way we find exotic peaks ayound us- Mt. Pumori, Khumbutse, lobuche east, Lobuche west, Mahalangur Himal. After our arrival at Lobuche, we take a short hike upto a hill from where we see the sunset as well as it is a hike for a good acclimatization. Overnight at lobuche.

Day 17: |
Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170m/16,961 ft), explore Everest Base Camp (5,364m/17,594 ft), 6-7 hrs
Today is the day for which we have been walking/ Trekking Hard for several days. We trek upto Gorakshep and have lunch there and then to Everest Base camp (E.B.C). It is not very difficult while due to the thin air& High altitude it might be challenging. As we reach E.B.C. we can see small bright colour tents the huge mountains. We can see Nuptse, Khumbutse & Pumori standing tall, while the view of Everest is visible on the way to the E.B.C. The air is thin so we descend down to Gorakshep and overnight. Sunset view is more delightful then sunrise from Kalapatthar. It’s a hard day trek today to E.B.C. so; it will be very challenging to visit Kalapatthar. So upon your demand we can go for incredible sunset from kalapatthar.

Day 18: |
Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) to Pheriche (4,288m/14,070ft), 7-8 hrs
This morning we wake up early (at around 4 o’ clock) to see sunrise from kalapatthar. The temperature will be freezing cold reaching from -10 to -20’C. We can see sun’s 1st ray stretching the Top of the World, Everest. From the Top of Kalapatthar we can have 360′ degree view of Himalayas. We can enjoy the view and photos and keep praying flags in the name of your loved ones we have passed. Overnight at Pheriche/Dingboche.

Day 19: |
Pheriche to Namche Bazaar 6-7 hrs (3,440m/11,280 ft)
After Breakfast we trek back mostly downhill while we will also have to climb back upto tengboche and again upto Namche Bazaar is very easy way. On the way we pass through lush forest and beautiful rivers, waterfalls & lake. If lucky we can encounter colorful pheasants, Red Panda while descending by forest. Still the Mountain View is in its best and Ama Dablamis precious. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Namche Bazaar to lukla 6-7 hrs (2,800m/9,186ft)
Today after Breakfast, we trek down to Lukla passing river Dudh Koshi, And passing through the Hillary Bridge where we will have our last view of Everest. Then downhill upto Phakding, Lunch will be served on Phakding. Then we climb upto lukla

Day 21: |
Fly to Kathmandu; and Extra activities in Kathmandu
Early morning after breakfast we take our flight to Kathmandu, We will arrive Kathmandu; the whole day is free while you can spend some time around Kathmandu valley. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Departure or extend for extra activities…
After Breakfast, if your flight home is late for the evening, still you can spend last moment shopping at thamel. And then drive upto International Airport.
