12 Days Depart Kathmandu
The trip combines one of the best short Himalayan treks with a challenging and exhilarating river that includes three days of trekking along the foothill of the Himalaya, followed by 120km of exceptional rafting. The trek begins at Basantapur, after an overnight drive from Kathmandu. The trails winds up and down through small villages, magnificient rhododendron forest and verdant meadows. Although the Tamur is still relatively untraveled, it probably has created more whitewater interest than any other commercial rafting river in Nepal. Known to be one of the best whitewater journeys in the world, the first 16km of the river allows no respite from the continuous rapids and the churning whitewater embraces all the challenges of the river.
